In the 60’s, someome ripped a hoop earring out of my earlobe and it got infected..no matter what I put on it, it would not go away…it just kept getting bigger and really painful. He told me after I washed my face that night to put the drawing salve on and cover it with bandaids..in 3 days it drew all the infection out and healed my earlobe up, but left the hole, I guess because it was not a tear and had previously healed before the incident. It left no scar and I started wearing an earring in it a week later…but, not a hoop one mind you…haven’t worn hoops since then. Over the years that container of drawing salve performed many more miracles for me and some of my friends. I don’t remember the brand, but it was of a black color. Often wished I had some over the years while working with plants with small thorns and stickers, like Cacti. It sure would have come in handy.
